Jay Burney, The U.S. Chair of Birds on the Niagara and one of the founders,  is the special projects director of the Pollinator Conservation Association, a New York Registered not for profit 501 (c)(3)

The PCA is an important conservation leader in the region and focuses on conservation strategies through the lens of pollinators. A life-long birder, and one of the leaders that helped to create the Niagara River Corridor Globally Significant Important Bird Area, Mr. Burney emphasizes the relationships between insects, native plants, and birds.  The Pollinator Conservation Association has adopted this wholistic approach.

The PCA consults, plans, designs, manages, and promotes best practices for conservation sites.

They advocate for and educate about conservation and resiliency planning and strategies.

They work with the Niagara River Greenway Commission and have partnered with them to create the Niagara Greenway Pollinator Partnership and are working to create a pollinator pathway within the Greenway.
